Being Ready, And Choosing Life In The Midst Of Judgment.

 

Today's Verse is Jeremiah 21:8

And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. 

    When Judgment comes, there is still a choice to be made, between life and between death, though at such times one may only escape with nought but their life, as it was to be with those Jeremiah is warning here. James paints another picture, where those he warned were content in their riches, false that they may be, of which we have been given counsel through John: buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. For in the dangers we currently see around us, let us repent, lest we all likewise perish. For we can be sure that our Lord is coming back. Let us be ever ready. Amen.
