Today's Verse is Jeremiah 23:36
And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.
Do you know how to find the incorruptible seed, even the word of God by which we can be born again? Today, in my language, and I have found in others also, hundreds of different books which claim to be God’s Word because they are seeking for the very words spoken by their authors, saying that we now know things that we did not some 400 years ago, so that we are better able to determine what is the word of God. Is this what God meant when he said The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: /But the word of our God shall stand for ever[?] I, myself, hear them say, Yea, Hath God said? However, many times we have the promise of God that his Word endures forever, even as we are assured by Peter: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Therefore, with diligence go and find this word that is not perverted, but pure and undefiled, that ye may Know what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Amen.
To God be the Glory
