Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 15:9
And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
Why did Jeroboam setup the Idols in Bethel and Dan? Was it not to keep Israel from returning to Judah? Yet here we see many in Israel fleeing back to Judah, that they might serve the Lord there. Later we see Baasha attempt to still the flow of people out of the land, not by correcting the problem, but by force, and failing. Do we not see similar things now? A few weeks ago, I read that Paul commanded Timothy to instruct those that oppose themselves in meekness (that is humbly from a secure position, or position of strength,) and again yesterday, not speaking evil of those that commit evil, because before we were changed by Jesus Christ, we were even as they. So, let us not be ashamed to walk with our God according to his ways, and speak boldly to those that cross our path, for who can say who will hear, and who will forebear, but God will be Glorified in all. Amen.
To God be the Glory
