Today's verse is Psalm 129:2
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth:
Yet they have not prevailed against me.
This Psalm appears to be speaking of the plight of a righteous man when the wicked have power. It speaks of hardship, but it looks forward to the hope of God’s victory, as the psalmist testifies of God’s sustaining power. Even as it speaks of the lack of faith in the God of Israel, it still leaves Hope, for its last words are: “We bless you in the name of the Lord.” Amen.
To God be the Glory
