Today's Verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:4
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Some might ask, “How do we that Know Jesus Christ are not in darkness?” This answer is very simple, we are not in darkness because we have the Light of the World, even the Word of God, which he has given to us, wherein we find the end from the beginning, and that God does not do anything unless he has told his prophets, which has again, recorded it all for us in the Written Word of God. Therefore, know that we have been commanded to watch for the Blessed Hope, even the return of Jesus Christ for his Saints (The Redeemed.) We have not been commanded to watch for the Son of Perdition, that wicked one, the Beast, even though we have been given his first Identifier--Confirming the Covenant with many for one week (seven years.) Therefore, as we see the evidence of the nearness of the second, be looking for the Blessed Hope: Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. Amen.
