Today's verse is 1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Let us consider a contrasting verse: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Whatever circumstance we may find ourselves in, we know that God is righteous, and we can be confident that he has not surrendered control, nor is he ignorant of our plight. Whatever we face, he has allowed, but remember, to those that are his, to those that love him, He will work even this to the good, according to his purpose. So be thankful, and give him the Glory he is due, and faint not, and as promised in the above verse, in due time he will exalt you as well. Amen.
To God be the Glory
