Today's verse is Psalm 36:4-5
He deviseth mischief upon his bed;
He setteth himself in a way that is not good;
He abhorreth not evil.
Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
A common question: Why does God allow evil to thrive? In another place, we are told that the goodness of God leadeth us to repentance. God allows such to thrive in order to give them every chance to repent. Another place says that God hates the death of the wicked, for once such a one dies, they are forever separated from their Creator. Our God loves each and every one of his creation, and this includes you. Have you repented? Have you recognized the goodness of God in your life? Yes, there is evil about, and it has no doubt hurt you, but if you are honest with yourself, you are evil, but still God allowed some goodness to touch you as well, so be thankful for that, focus on that, and Glorify God for that, then see what he has done for you in Jesus Christ, then repent accepting his gift of life, offered by his death and resurrection. Amen.
To God be the Glory
