A Reflection

 

Today's verse is Psalm 40:17

     But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me:

      Thou art my help and my deliverer;

      Make no tarrying, O my God.

   I look upon my situation and find I have nothing to offer the God of Heaven. Sometimes, I do find something that I can offer him, but find that it is something that I received from him. Yet for some reason, I find that the God that created Heaven and Earth, and all that are in them, considers me, and not only that, but loves me, and has provided for me; First, and foremost a way through Jesus Christ to come to him, which in and of itself would be so much more than I could expect or imagine. But, he has provided also so much more, and promises so much more, and now my God, let us see a glimpse of the fulfilment of your promises. I wait for you. Amen.
