What is Required Of Us?

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 10:12
And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

We ask what does God what from us? In this verse we find the answer: Everything. As sons of Adam, our initial response is: That is too much! Then we see Jesus, the One that took our place, paid our price in full and satisfied an Angry God and made a way for us to escape his Wrath. Then we see that all we are, all we have is not enough, but if we receive his Gift, then surrender to him, he makes of us more than we can imagine, more than we can comprehend, then by his strength we can then give him our all, for we have received from him all that we are. Amen.
