Today's verse is Psalm 39:7
And now, Lord, what wait I for?
My hope is in thee.
Does it appear that nothing is going right? Consider the above verse and read it in context. For it was written in the midst of one in despair. Once we can claim to be children of God, we can know that nothing that happens to us is without cause, we can know that our God has not forgotten us, even though all appears as lost. As the Psalmist does here, keep your hope upon the Lord your God, continue to seek him, repent as necessary, and wait upon him, then when the time is right he will lift you out of the mire to stand in a firm place and you will have cause to Glorify your God in all things. Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
