The Exchange

 

Today's verse is 2 Corinthians 5:1

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

   What is being said here? What is this “our earthy house” and what is this “house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens?” Currently we have fleshly bodies which are mortal, that is, they are perishing and will one day die. But we that have received Jesus Christ have been promised that we will never die. That is, because one day, whether after death, or when Christ returns we shall exchange our earthy bodies for spiritual, or heavenly bodies, and this is but the smallest part of the Great Hope, for in that day we shall see Him, and know Him, and be like Him, and our Salvation shall then be complete. Amen.
