The Merciful God
Today's verse is Micah 7:18
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity,
And passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?
He retaineth not his anger for ever,
Because he delighteth in mercy.
If God is Good, why is there evil in the world? If he is good should he not have gotten rid of it already? What is God doing about all the evil in the world today? Here we see a glimpse of the answer. Before God created the world, he knew how Adam would sin, and he knew the pain and heartache that would come of it. So before he ever established the Heaven and the Earth he made a plan to redeem as many as would come to him, while also showing all that His way is best. Let us therefore, Rejoice! and be glad that he has a plan of redemption through Jesus Christ, and all that believe that he died and rose again from the dead can be, even will be rescued from the penalty of sin, and in due time even from the pain of sin. Selah [Think about that.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
