Promise Fulfilled

Today's verse is Zechariah 9:9
   Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion;
    Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:
    Behold, thy King cometh unto thee:
    He is just, and having salvation;
    Lowly, and riding upon an ass,
    And upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Promise fulfilled! We read of this when we read the beginning of Passion Week, the week which ends with God being rejected of men, and nailed to the Cross, his blood shed for the souls of men. And wonders of wonders, it is by this act, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that we as men might have life eternal through him, that died for us. Amen. Let us therefore, do as this verse commands and rejoice, for in him we have all, and will receive all of the blessing he has stored up for us, if we but rest in his Word, and seek to do his will. Amen.
