By His Spirit

Today's verse is Zechariah 4:6
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,
    Saith the LORD of hosts.

Has the Lord God, the Creator of all that is in Heaven, and all that is in the Earth, set before you a task? Something that he wants to do through you? We see here that when such a thing as been appointed to us, we do not need to strong arm it, nor do we need to force it, but we need to be faithful, and do those things that are set before us, and do them according to his Word. It is a common thing, and a common belief that if one is doing what needs to be done to fulfill God's will, that it is O.K. to do whatever needs to be done, for the end justifies the means. However, we see here that is not true. God will always accomplish his purpose. We just need to be faithful to do those things set before us according to his Word. And having repeated myself, I say Amen.

To God be the Glory
