God's Utopia
Today's verse is Micah 4:4
But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree;
And none shall make them afraid:
For the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
This is what God views as Utopia, that each of us has our own place, and that each of us is able to enjoy the fruit of our own labor. However, Consider, what is being taught today, is it not more along the lines we find in Proverbs 1: "Cast in thy lot among us;/Let us all have one purse:" Or as Karl Marks said: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Let us instead obey, "My son, walk not thou in the way with them;/Refrain thy foot from their path:" and remember Ananias and Sapphira, taking note that what they gave was theirs until they gave it. They were not obligated in any way to give as they did, but by love, which is their lie, instead they gave for prestige and vain honor. Let us not be beguiled in the same way. Amen.
To God be the Glory
