Today's Verse is Proverbs 9:8
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:
Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
For years, I sought to find the quote, “Convince a man against his will, and he is of the same mind still.” (“How to make friends and influence people”) When I look at this verse I see the root of that saying. Yet when you read it, of which sort are you? Are you more likely to hate the one that points out your flaws, or do you love them for it? Regardless of what their motive may be? Let us not consider the other person at this time, but rather what sort am I. Can I be taught, or do I hate those that would help me improve? Selah [Let God’s Word be your mirror.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
