Today's Verse is Exodus 25:22
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
God has here promised Moses access to the mercy seat, where once a year the shed blood of a lamb is placed for the atonement of Israel, that Moses may receive the commandments that he was to pass on to the people. This promise is shortly extended to the Congregation which meets before the Lord, where he will speak to each present personally (some would say that only applied to Moses.) But now that when Christ suffered the death of the Cross, he tore the Veil from the top to the bottom, allowing each of us who have found redemption in him Access to the Father, so that we can come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need. Will you accept this invitation? Amen.
