Presenting The Best

Today's Verse is Leviticus 3:1
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

Before I begin, it must be noted that the sacrifices mentioned here are not compulsory, but must be made of devotion, and of a willing heart. But what we bring must meet the requirements of a Holy God, and what we bring must be not just our best but without blemish. This is but just one reason why God would rather have mercy than sacrifice, because more often than not our best is not good enough. Yet, even so, now we that have received God’s Gift through Jesus Christ, have also received his Spirit who works in us, and all that he does through us is always pleasing to a Righteous and Holy God. So when you come to God, will you bring the Best His Spirit has to offer? Amen.

To God be the Glory
