Today's verse is Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
I confess, I have never really liked the doctrine of importunity: that is when we think we really need (or just want) something, we like a child desiring something continually pesters his parent for it until he receives it. And so, is the context of the above passage. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Amen.
