Seeing, But Not Hearing

 

Today's verse is Acts 14:11

And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 

    It is amazing how we can see a thing, and see that it is the work of God, yet we fail to hear the Word God had given when that thing was done, and still seek to find God after our own way, according to our own desire. These people had heard Paul preach of the wonderful works of God. How Jesus, God in the flesh, had come according to his promise given at the beginning of the World, and had made a way for us to come to him forgiven of our wicked ways, but when these had seen a Marvelous work of God, instead of hearing the message, they cling to their own understanding and miss the gift the merciful God is offering them and unrepentant, they are left in their sins. What of you? Have you seen God work? Have you seen the Love God has for you? But in seeing this, have you missed the message, have you rejected God’s Word, and still gone your own way? Do not miss out, Repent today, and hold fast to God’s message of Love found in his Word, for God will not strive with man forever, but the day is coming when He, by Jesus Christ, will judge the secrets of Men, and we will all have to give an account. Will you be found wanting, or Redeemed? Selah [Think on this.] Amen.
