Today's verse is Genesis 19:3
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
“And he pressed upon them greatly;” in the past, even recently, I have thought and counseled that it is the Lord that does the work of conversion. Did not Paul say, “that God giveth the increase?” Yet, in doing our part, we are not to let the matter go lightly. Lot, knowing the danger of residing in the streets of Sodom, did not rest till these two men were safely lodged within his house. Do we not know the danger of what lies outside of the shelter of God’s Love? Did not Paul proclaim, “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men?” Therefore, so long as one is the lest bit willing to hear, let us not set them aside prematurely, but proclaim unto them, and contend with them until they either hear, and repent, or reject, and push us away. Amen.
To God be the Glory
