Today's verse is Acts 12:5
Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
In this verse, and the account following we have a lesson. We see that the church prayed, about and for Peter. Yet, when God answered their prayer, not a one apparently believed that God would answer. Peter, as he was being released thought he was “dreaming” (having a vision.) When Rhoda answered the door, those that were praying, even at that moment, did not believe her. Yet, God still had answered their prayers. What should we learn from this? Pray! Ask for those things that you believe to be according to God’s will. Even ask for those things your heart desires, but Pray. For faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and again, tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience; and experience, hope. So, pray, knowing that God will hear you, and when he hears, he will answer, so keep praying till you see and understand that answer. Then rejoice at the grace God has shown you, and continue to Pray. Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
