Today's verse is 2 Corinthians 11:26
In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
There are those that say that if we faithfully follow Christ that we shall never suffer mishap. In the above verse we see that that is not true. It is true that as children of God we are under his protection as even Satan testified of Job, so anything that does happen to us, we know that our God who loves us has personally allowed it. But as Jesus came to suffer the Cross, so also are we called to suffer that others might see and consider our Savior. So when the perils come, do not fear, but be of good courage, for your Father in Heaven knows of your trouble, He has not forsaken you, but will at the very least, carry you trough it, and you can be confident that his purpose for such trouble will be fulfilled. Amen.
