Today's verse is Psalm 59:12
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips
Let them even be taken in their pride:
And for cursing and lying which they speak.
It is evident that those that know not God have power today (though some of them say they do) and in their power they think that none can touch them. Yet consider this: When the serpent bit the heal of the promised seed of Adam, he thought he had defeated God himself, yet in that very act, that very same promised seed, crushed the serpent’s head, and now we have a way to be forgiven of all our sin, and if we take that way, that wicked one has no power over us. In the same way our God shall overcome all that oppose him, turning their best efforts upon their head, destroying them. Amen.
