Today's verse is Psalm 67:4
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy:
For thou shalt judge the people righteously,
And govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
When people know and fear God, his ways are followed, and with them they bring joy and gladness, suffering is minimized if not altogether eradicated. But when God is not even acknowledged, everything good thing will fall apart, and more so as God is forgotten. The way of God is seen as a hindrance and odious, everything not to be desired. And all see the suffering, even abhorring it, but do nothing about it as they go about compounding the misery by their own actions. So what do we do then? We that know God, continue to keep our eyes upon him, for as sure as the Sun rises in the East, our God will judge him who does not know him, and righteousness and plenty will once again be restored. Amen.
To God be the Glory
