The truth found here is subtle, Leah had been seeking fulfillment from her husband Jacob, (not an unreasonable expectation.) Yet here, not having found it, instead of accusing God, asking God why he had not made her husband love her, even as she had given him many sons, she now turns her focus on the Creator of all, and gives him his due. God honors her for this, for it is through Judah, that David is born, and as most of us all know, It is through David that Jesus came. Let us remember, that while God gives us relationships here on Earth, and often provides much fulfillment through them, it is our relationship with him that enables us, for he is our sufficiency, and those that he brings into our lives is so that he can show them his love through us. Selah [Think on this.] Amen.

Tomorrow’s Reading plan is Genesis 30:1-43, Matthew 22:23-23:36, Ecclesiastes 7:6-12

I was wondering if this was the one you wanted me to look at. I believe I do understand what you are getting at here. Leah finally honors God instead of trying to seek acceptance from Jacob and is blessed with Judah.
ReplyDeleteGod honors our efforts join in relationship with him because we were created to worship and commune with him.
