Where Rest Can Be Found

 

Today's verse is Matthew 11:28 

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Rest, even in the midst of turmoil? Yet, this is what Jesus Christ is promising. Just before he issued this invitation, he was speaking of judgment, and how those that rejected him did so, knowing the evidence of just who Jesus is, yet their eyes were blinded, and they could not see, or would not see. We who follow Jesus Christ can rest, because we know that whatever may be happening now, Jesus Christ is in full control, and the outcome will be his Glory, and in the end we shall stand in his presence, accepted of him, and rejoice in his Victory. Amen.
