Promise Kept

Today's verse is Genesis 21:1
And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. 

A promise made, therefore a promise kept. God made a promise to Abraham that he would have a son, and when it was clear that Abram did not understand that it was to be Sarai that gave him the son, he became Abraham and God promised that Sarah, who was Sarai, would bare him that son. And as he has said, so it was done. Isaac is born. As God kept his promise to Abraham, and to Sarah, so too will he keep his promises to you and I. Starting with the promise of Salvation through Jesus Christ, but also all other promises made he will do. So if there is a promise yet unfilled, do not fret, nor give room for doubt, for as God has promised so will he do. Amen
