God Knows His Own

Today's verse is Psalm 1:6
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous:
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

In another place it is said: "They go from strength to strength, /Every one of them in Zion appeareth before God." God takes note of those that are his, and he watches over them, taking care of them, providing for them that they might fulfill his purpose for them. He goes before them making the way that they should go, sure, even when they might stumble. Consider Abraham, after hearing that he should have a Son, he again stumbles, allowing Sarah to be taken by Abimelech, but God intervenes, and it is by Abraham, that Sarah has a son, even the one that was promised. If we be God's, purchased to him by the death of his Son, in every way of the word, he knows our way. Whether it be the way he desires for us, or the way we are prone to take, he knows it, and takes the necessary provisions to make them one and the same. Amen.
