God is Sufficient

Today's verse is Psalm 11:4
The LORD is in his holy temple,
The LORD’s throne is in heaven:
      His eyes behold,
His eyelids try, the children of men.

The Psalmist here up to this verse is going back and forth, looking at God, and looking at his circumstance, and finds as we see in this verse that God is on his throne. For the past year, and more, as I looked forward, I saw no reason to hope. Today, looking forward I see only fear, but as I look behind me, of the last year, of the last two, and since I have received Jesus Christ as my Saviour, I find reason to hope, for as he had promised, he has been sufficient, and if he has been sufficient yesterday, he will be sufficient today, and he will be sufficient tomorrow. So whatever you may be facing, we can trust in God, for he tries us, that he might show himself to us, that we might learn of him. Amen.
