When God's Goodness Is Rejected

Today's verse is Jeremiah 5:24
Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

In another place the Apostle Paul asks, “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” And at the beginning of this chapter we are told: “Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.” But if none are found, and the goodness of God is rejected, What is left but his Wrath? Yet, if you are reading this, is there not hope? Are you seeking the truth, and what of Judgment? Do you execute it in Righteousness? And forget not that when two of Christ’s followers are gathered together in his name, then he is in the midst. And when they make a request in agreement, he Hears and acts. Selah [Consider this in prayer.] Amen.
