Free From Sin?

Today's verse is Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

There is a doctrine that some believe, holding that even in this life, before we are changed, before the corrupt is made incorruptible, before the mortal puts on immortality, that we can be sinless and perfect before The Righteous and Holy God. And from this verse, yea even from the chapter it comes from, would seem to say it is so, and so long as we walk in the power of the Spirit of God it can be so. Yet, while the flesh is corrupt, we groan waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body, which will happen, when our Savior returns as he has promised. Amen.
