Today's verse is Jeremiah 26:24
Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
Did not God promise Jeremiah, “Be not afraid of their faces: for tI am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.” Do we not see here that God did not forget his promise? In another Place we are told, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” And a little later, “being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” What of you, can you say that God has made a promise or promises to you? Know of a certainty that he will keep them, Just as he kept his promise to Jeremiah. Selah [Consider this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
