Boldness To Speak

Today's verse is Ephesians 6:19-20
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
For which I am an ambassador xin bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Paul was in prison for preaching the gospel, and as is true of most men, it would appear that he felt the pressure to remain quiet. Yet, he knew what was needed, and asked for the saints to pray for him to have the boldness he needed to speak up. Now, in another place, Paul, himself, teaches us that we that have recieved the gift of Salvation through this very same gospel, are also ambassadors, and in the time we now live, the most important thing we can do, is speak up boldly, and declare the mystery of the Gospel, even as we have recorded that Paul did. Did not Paul quote the Psalmist, when he said, “I believed, therefore have I spoken?” Do you believe? Will you not also speak? Amen.
