Today's verse is Job 19:8-9
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass,
And he hath set darkness in my paths.
He hath stripped me of my glory,
And taken the crown from my head.
I know this place that Job here describes, I am in it now, and I have been in it before. However, we know something here that Job does not know at this time, That Job is not in this place he described, for anything he had done, but that God might be glorified in him. Yesterday, I reflected upon what God had done in my life, and I considered a time of pain and heartache, the worst I have ever experienced. I was warned of its coming about the 26th of October, 2016, and it started 30 November 2016 and lasted until the 15th of September, 2017, with a time of grieving after that. Now Paul has declared that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Now I can testify to the truth of that, because during that very same season, my God was with me, encouraging me, using others about me to bring me Joy, and even Gladness, despite the pain. He did not mitigate the pain, except a time or two, so that, that worst of times was also the best to date. So where do you find yourself? Are you like Job constrained? Are you in a place of hardship? Know that, Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. Amen
To God be the Glory
