Today's verse is Acts 2:24
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
Read the above verses again and consider, what God has done, and what those that were acting in our stead had done. (That is to say, what we would have done if we were there. Do not be quick to say you would not have done it.) God knew what would happen, and yet Jesus, willingly, subjected himself to us, and suffered at our hands, and died upon the Cross. He did all of this for us, for those that beat him, and bruised him, and crucified him, and having so died, he did not remain in the grave, but rose up again on the third day and conquered death. If he did all of this for the benefit of us that killed him, What would he be willing to do for those that Repent, accepting this gift, to be reconciled to God? Selah [Meditate on this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
