Today's verse is Micah 7:19
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us;
He will subdue our iniquities;
And thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
When Jesus Christ was born, which we celebrate tomorrow, the angels announced, Peace on Earth and Good will toward men. Why? When I first heard this as a child, I did not understand it then. What with all the strife that was in the World even then. However, in the above verse we see Why! Because, God has sent and provided a way that any, no matter how vile, can turn from their wicked ways, and receive forgiveness and redemption, and God himself will cast all their iniquities and sin, into the deepest part of the sea. In another place, He will cast such as far from us as the East is from the West. So let us seek Jesus Christ today, and remember and meditate on what he has done for us tomorrow, considering what we are willing to do for him, because of the Gift he has given us. Amen.
To God be the Glory
