Today's verse is Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
Neither shall fruit be in the vines;
The labour of the olive shall zzfail,
And the fields shall yield no meat;
The flock shall be cut off from the fold,
And there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Consider, what should a follower of Christ do, when he sees the Judgment of God upon his Nation, upon his neighbors, even a Judgment of which he is affected by a portion? Habakkuk here even trembled at the thought he might have rest at such a time, yet he determined that he will rejoice in the Lord, even taking Joy in the God that provided him salvation. Even expressing confidence that God will again cause him to walk again with a spring in his step as he walks in the evidence of his prosperity. So today, if you know him that is Righteous, Rejoice, for he comes to Judge the people, and those that refuse him shall be destroyed, but all that repent will have a place. Selah [Think on this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
