Who Trembles With Me?

Today's verse is Ezra 9:4
Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

Today, Many fear things like COVID, Climate Change, and being called a Racist. Maybe some fear being called a terrorist, but who with me trembles as Ezra at the possible, even probable, wrath of God that very much should be at our doorstep for the sins of our neighbors, not to mention our own? Looking at the sins that are prevalent in my Nation, or any of the others, why should an Holy God delay any longer? Why should he spare? There really is only one hope that he does. God is gracious, and God does spare if and only if those that tremble at his Wrath come together and pray for first for forgiveness of their own sins: Then for the sins of their neighbors, then and only then might we cry out as the Psalmist:

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness,
And for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people,
And praise him in the assembly of the elders.

Amen.

To God be the Glory
