An Example Of Faith

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 14:11
And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

This is a good reminder, as the life of King Asa provides us both promise and warning. The warning I have dwelt with much earlier, the promise is this: God is able, and he is, with a couple of exceptions --do not be quick to think you are one of them-- willing to deliver all those that call upon him. Are you in a straight? Is there no way out? Trust in the Lord your God, Trust that he knows what is the best outcome, and rest in him, then do as he commands, and you will find that he will reward you, beyond what you can imagine, for your faithfulness. Amen.
