The Righteous Judge

Today's verse is Nehemiah 9:33
Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:

Last night as I was watching the news, and there was a clip of a person out in the middle of a park with a sign saying something like: “Forgive us, O God, Save us from the Hurricane.” This is what we must recognize, that God is a God of righteous judgment, and the troubles that we see about us, are actually less then what we deserve. As I saw that sign, I thought, there is one standing in the gap, and I prayed that God would see, that God would hear, and that God would spare. Will he, I do not know, most often he does, but I know of at least two times that he refused. We know that God always has his remnant, I hope, by the blood of my Savior to be found in that number. Amen.

To God be the Glory
