The Vain Plans Of the Wicked

 

Today's verse is Psalm 2:12

     Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,

      And ye perish from the way,

      When his wrath is kindled but a little.

      Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

This Psalm considers the vain or empty, that is to say worthless plans of the wicked. They have grand schemes, that at the beginning may appear to bear fruit, but in the end they will be found wanting, for they will come before God empty handed, with nothing to shew for their lives. This verse gives the cure, Jesus Christ. In him we can find the blessings that we seek. In Him we can find value in all that we do, if we but first acknowledge him and seek and follow his direction. As promised in the Psalm before this one, as we are successful in following his lead, we shall find good success in all that we do, for all things work together for good to them that love God.
