We see here the Motivation of the King which at the time reigned over most if not all the known world at the time. He had learned that God is to be feared, so fear him he did! In another place we are told “But there is forgiveness with thee,/ That thou mayest be feared.” I do not fully understand this, but from this we clearly have a choice, seek to be forgiven or suffer the consequences, the choice as always is ours and ours alone, though God enables us to seek him. Jesus told us that to do the work of God, was to believe on him that he sent. So what will you, will you accept the Forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ, allowing him to do with you as he will, or will you face the wrath of God upon you forevermore? Selah [Think on this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
