The Plans of the Wicked

 

Today's verse is Nehemiah 4:3-5

     Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. 

     Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: 

     And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders. 

Today, in my Nation, we have those that cry, “No Evidence! Baseless!” Yet God hears them, and knows their lies, Yea, even their works, and I believe even in this passage that we have a promise from God that they will be held to account for their transgressions and oath breaking. I am choosing to believe based upon this passage that they will be caught in their own snares, and all those that choose by ignorance to believe them will be caught with them to suffer the same fate. Nehemiah readied those that followed him to defend themselves. Thankfully, God did not call upon them to do so. Let us follow his example, and maybe as God did here he will do the same for us. Amen.
