God's Purpose For Elimelech

Today's Verse is Ruth 1:4
And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

Why did Elimelech and his family go to Moab, was it just to escape the famine? Actually, no. That was just the motivation that God gave to Elimelech, for his family truly had been given the task of fetching Ruth, and bringing her to Israel, to marry Boaz, that that couple may be a part of the line of Christ. True, it was a costly task, but yet, so was the one that Jesus took upon himself, when he offered himself up unto God, for the remission of our sins. So what is the task the Lord God of heaven has given you? You can be sure that there is one. Do you know what it is? If you keep your eyes upon the true God, and keep your trust in him, he will surely show you in due time. Selah [Think about this] Amen.
