The Hope Produced By Experience
Today's verse is I Samuel 17:37
David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.
Paul tells us in Romans, that the Word of God produces faith, and earlier he also tells us that patience produces experience, and experience, hope. This is what we see in David here. For God had enabled David, and had delivered him before, so David was sure that God was both willing and able to do so again. Are you aware of any of the promises God has given you? If not, read God’s Word. Have you seen God work in your life? Forget not what he has done, and know that what he has already done is an example to you what he will continue to do, and also why he would do it. Selah [think about this] Amen.
To God be the Glory
