The Compulsion To Speak

Today's verse is Psalm 116:10
     I believed, therefore have I spoken:
      I was greatly afflicted:

There is no such a thing as a silent christian; though most of us, often, would desire it so. As the Psalmist so proclaims here, that what we truly believe, we cannot help but to utter. Jesus, tells us something similar, as he describes that it is not what goes into a man, but what comes out of his mouth, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Now do not be surprised, for as our Lord was abused, so may we also suffer, but if he counted us worthy to suffer for, should we not also count him worthy of any of the afflictions we may face, just because we spoke up in his place? Selah [Think about this.] Amen.
