To Worry, or To Trust, That is the Question
Today's verse is Psalm 125:1-2
They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,
Which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
So the LORD is round about his people
From henceforth even for ever.
As Sons and Daughters of Adam, we are prone to worry. We fret over this, and despair over that; most of which we have no control. But in such times we have an invitation, for there is a God, who made Heaven and Earth, who is in control of all things, who loves all that he hath made, and he invites all that worry to trust in him. So, when you are tempted to worry; First, consider, does God love you? Is he willing to help you in this thing. Find someone in scripture that had a similar problem which God had helped. Second, Is God able to help? See how from scripture how he did help another. Third, Does God require something of you for his help? If so do it. Remember, God has a plan for you that he determined even before the world began, not based upon what you can do, but based upon who he is, and what he can do through you. So do you worry, or Trust in him? As we see him work, and make note of it, we shall do less of the first and more of the second. Amen.
