A Place in His Plan

Today's verse is 2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

So much can be said from this passage. Consider the high points: One, we have a calling; Two, it is according to God’s purpose for us; Three, It was determined even before he created the Heavens and the Earth. And all of this is centered in Christ Jesus, and none of this was determined by our worthiness, or abilities. God the Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ, before he ever called the world into being, determined what your and my part should be in his world, and we can be sure that we will fulfill this part, but if we endeavor to surrender to his plan, we shall receive the reward he has also prepared for us, but if not . . . It does not bear to think upon. So, let us seek to know his plan for us, and do as he wished us to do, and watch as his Glory is manifested. Amen.
