Discipline Is Not Forever
Today's verse is I Kings 11:39
And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:/ For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.” Solomon, David’s son had sinned, and he had sinned greatly, causing God to deliver the Northern part of the Kingdom to Jeroboam. But for those that belong to God, neither Judgment nor discipline are forever, but they have a set time and a way provided to return to the God that loves us. And if we do not return he brings us home; for we “shall not be utterly cast down.” Do you know that you have displeased the one that died for you? Repent, look again to him, and as he has promised, he will lift you up again, and set you once again into a straight path. Amen
To God be the Glory
